Sealed units supplied to housebuilder Jelson Homes

  • 11 Feb 2015

Glassolutions’ sealed units are used by Jelson Homes to combat the acoustic and thermal challenges it faces with its new builds

Every month, Glassolutions manufactures more than 300 sealed units and supplies them to Jelson Homes.

In doing so, it helps the housebuilder maintain its build programme, which is active across 15 developments in Leicestershire, Coventry, Nottinghamshire and Peterborough.

The sealed units are made using the Planitherm series of low-e glass products with Planitherm Total+. The units that are manufactured using Planitherm One can deliver U-values as low as 1.4 W/m2K.

This provides Jelson Homes with units that have been designed to have an enhanced thermal performance.

Glassolutions is also helping Jelson Homes on plots which are polluted with external noise. To provide acoustic control, the company supplies sealed units which feature laminated Stadip Silence glass.

This glass adds a layer of sound insulation without affecting the window’s overall thermal performance.
