See CEDIA are hosts at Lifestyle Technology Showcase

  • 9 Oct 2017

CEDIA® will be hosting a Lifestyle Technology Showcase on Wednesday 11th October 2017 at The Building Centre in London.

Targeted at architects, interior designers and property developers, the one-day event will inform attendees about the benefits of home technology and provide an insight into the type of solutions that are available, whilst hoping to educate and inspire.

Taking place from 9:30am to 7:00pm at London’s prestigious Building Centre, the ideal venue as it is dedicated to promoting innovation in the built environment.

Attendees will gain an understanding of how to discuss home technology with their clients and will also have the opportunity to network with colleagues and technology integrators.

The event will begin with CEDIA’s RIBA and BIID accredited CPD training course, entitled “Designing Integrated Future-Ready Homes.”  This session will introduce design professionals to the basic techniques and terminology used in the industry and will educate attendees on how to incorporate the latest technologies into their projects, without compromising on design.

Sponsors at the event include GIRA a leading supplier of intelligent system solutions, Control4, a home automation and smart home systems specialist, Artcoustic, a manufacturer of world-class loudspeakers, and Lutron, the leader in the lighting control.

Each sponsor will host a 45-minute presentation and will showcase their products on a table-top exhibition space, so attendees will be able to familiarise themselves with these brands.

Towards the end of the day, CEDIA will host a session that will discuss a real life smart home project. This will allow participants to understand how to best work with a technology integrator, and what the outcome is when a good partnership is developed at the early stages of the project.

To conclude, the event will feature a networking session. Integrators will be invited to attend the drinks reception, providing a prime opportunity to network and build relationships with the design community.
