Senior produces the goods for Hull’s Fruit Market development

  • 21 Oct 2021

Aluminium doors, windows and curtain walling from Senior Architectural Systems help to realise the striking façade design of a new office development, created as part of the wider regeneration of Hull’s historic Fruit Market.

As the new headquarters for safety equipment specialists Arco, the new-build office development is the largest to be created in Hull for a dedicated user since the late 1960s.

Designed by DLA Design, the striking five-storey building features a contemporary glass-fronted façade and spacious atrium which both enhances and complements the existing buildings around Hull’s marina and Old Town.

Thanks to its slim sightlines and enhanced thermal performance, Senior’s SF52 aluminium curtain wall system was the perfect choice for the main façade, and has been integrated with the manufacturer’s high performance SPW600 aluminium windows and robust SPW501 aluminium commercial doors.

The fenestration package has been fabricated and installed by specialist contractors Glass & Framing Systems for main contractor PDR Construction.
