Silva Timber provides contemporary cladding for new gym and spa

  • 26 Oct 2017

Silva Timber recently supplied cladding and decking for a new gym and spa in the Bryn Tanat Hall grounds.

Screen Shot 2017-10-26 at 14.59.38An existing steel frame was used as the base for the new facilities, whilst Western Red Cedar was used to create a path running alongside the new building, because of its durability.

Fine sawn tongue and groove cladding was used, a bi-product of the two highest grades of Western Red Cedar – therefore, mostly clear but will contain a few more natural characteristics.

A natural contemporary style was created by the fine sawn cladding, used alongside the building.

Finally, Owatrol Seasonite was applied to provide protection from moisture damage.
