Smart Building with Redstone and Vanti at Ecobuild 2016

  • 14 Mar 2016

At this year’s Ecobuild event, Redstone and Vanti collaborated to demonstrate an integrated Smart Building solution, which has been developed to help workplaces to use space more efficiently.

Situated on stand E6217, in the centre of Ecobuild’s Smart feature area, the two companies intended to showcase a fully-integrated ‘working’ Smart Building. The intelligent building solution has been designed to increase the energy efficiency and sustainability of a working environment.

United Business Media (UBM) Group is already making use of the integrated solution at its central London headquarters: here, the technology benefits over 500 members of staff and management.

It has helped UBM to improve its workspace efficiency by 25%, resulting in a capital saving of around £3 million. The technology also reaps operation savings of more than £1 million per annum.

Visitors to Ecobuild were able to walk through Redstone and Venti’s shared smart building space and physically interact with the technologies and solutions on display.

The companies aimed to demonstrate how Smart Technology can be incorporated into everyday spaces: examples of equipment from SMART, an interactive technology provider, and control systems provider, AMX, were featured.

The Smart Technology showcase also featured Redstone’s intelligent desk and meeting room booking system, OneSpace. An assortment of Vanti’s audio-visual and multimedia solutions, including its video conferencing systems, control systems and touch panels, were also included.

An additional supplier, Euroworkspace, used the opportunity to showcase its intelligent lockers and flexible furniture.

Vistors were able to witness demonstrations of the integrated technology, whilst dashboard views of building data also revealed how the combined solutions could be managed and optimised.
