When the Résidence Sainte Anne in France recently underwent a major renovation, a SMARTair wireless access control system was specified to provide an optimal, flexible solution for delivering resident care.

aa_SMARTair_PR_case_SaintAnne2_500x500Made up of multiple buildings, some of which are over a century old, the care home operating in France’s closely regulated EHPAD sector required an updated security system to replace an old, card-based wired system.

A combination of SMARTair™ Wireless Online and Update On Card management was chosen to meet all of Résidence Sainte Anne’s requirements. The staff now have the ability to control and monitor access easily of anyone who enters or leaves the residence.

30 SMARTair™ escutcheons or wall readers protect important doors that lead to technical areas or sensitive room whilst critical doors on the ground and lower-ground floors are managed by the fast Pro Wireless Online system. The SMARTair™ admin software makes it simple to operate the system, allowing staff to remotely open doors from a computer, tablet or smartphone.

In addition, a SMARTair™ device secures the main entrance, equipped with both RFID reader and keypad. The system enables staff to schedule the door to stay open between 6am and 11pm, whilst valid credentials and/or a PIN is required the rest of the time.

Other doors a the facility are secured by SMARTair™ Update On Card management, benefitting from being wireless and battery-operated, and installed quickly.
