Stannah, a leader in the UK lifts sector, has appointed two industry specialists who will play a key role in delivering the Network Rail lift and escalator contract.
Brendan Slevin joins Stannah as the Network Rail Department (NRD) Manager, bringing extensive experience in the lift and escalator industry.
As NRD Manager at Stannah, Brendan will be responsible for co-ordinating the successful delivery of the Network Rail contract, working closely with Stannah branch managers, including the London Infrastructure Branch (LIB) to ensure seamless project delivery.
Brendan’s industry experience includes overseeing lift maintenance, repair, refurbishment and replacement across London Underground and London Overground contracts.
Daniel Bond steps into the role of London Infrastructure Branch (LIB) Manager at Stannah, bringing a wealth of expertise in escalator systems. He will act as the main point of contact and oversee operational reporting for Network Rail in the delivery of the contract.
In a previous role, Daniel managed the installation of the escalator portfolio for the Elizabeth Line project, including the longest escalators on the TFL system – featured in the BBC documentary, The 15 Billion Pound Railway.
Daniel also served as a Service Delivery Manager, overseeing call-outs, repairs, maintenance, refurbishments and interventions on the London Underground. As a dedicated LIB Manager at Stannah, Daniel will provide focused support to the team, ensuring smooth execution and maintaining high service levels on the Network Rail contract.
The appointments come as Network Rail, following a highly competitive tender process, announced that Stannah had re-secured its 5-year lift maintenance contract as well as, for the first time, winning the contract to maintain escalators, a significant addition to the Stannah portfolio.
Appointing Stannah to both the lift and escalator renewal and replacement frameworks allows its Major Projects Division, which specialises in technically complex special lifts within infrastructure projects and escalators, to bid for the replacement of Network Rail current lift and escalator assets.
Glynn Jenkins, who has played a pivotal role in securing and managing the delivery of the Network Rail contract over the past eight years, will continue to provide his expertise with Brendan and Daniel working alongside Glynn until his well-earned retirement.
Dave Saunders, Head of Infrastructure at Stannah Lifts, says: “We are delighted to welcome Brendan and Daniel to the team. We are confident that their expertise will strengthen our operations, enhance service delivery and contribute to the ongoing success of the programme.”
Whether it’s a new lift installation, routine maintenance, emergency repair, removal, refurbishment or full modernisation, Stannah provides comprehensive lift solutions tailored to every need. With a range of flexible service contracts, Stannah ensures reliable maintenance and repair, keeping lifts operating safely and efficiently.
