Steelwork galvanized for football stadium

  • 22 Jan 2015

Merseyside Galvanizing has used its hot dip treatment to galvanize steelwork for Everton FC’s new floodlights

The steelwork has been used to create a walkway to access, install and maintain the new floodlighting at Goodison Park, Everton Football Club’s stadium.

The new floodlights are required for the stadium to meet FA criteria, as the park can accommodate over 40,000 Everton fans and supporters.

At the request of Shawton Engineering, Merseyside Galvanizing provided its hot dip galvanizing treatment to around 50 tonnes of steel to ensure that the walkway is protected against all weather conditions.

The steelwork has been galvanized so that it requires as little maintenance as possible.
