Stocksigns Ltd. is now utilising 4mm and 10mm recyclable Correx® corrugated polypropylene sheets for all its temporary construction signage. This lightweight, durable and waterproof material allows for a closed-loop production and recycling process, meaning signage does not end up in landfill but instead is recyclable into something new.
With over 30-years’ experience in construction signage, Stocksigns offers everything a site needs in terms of safety, waste, traffic and pedestrian management signage as well as bespoke and branded solutions.
The new closed loop scheme is a significant step towards helping construction projects reduce their environmental impact. Stocksigns now utilises white Correx® sheets from its UK-based supplier, on to which it digitally prints all of its temporary construction site signage.
Upon the customer finishing with the signs, the Correx® supplier collects them to be washed, shredded and then used to create new protective flooring sheets.
What’s more, all off cuts from Stocksigns during the production process are also collected and sent back to the Correx® supplier, ensuring a zero-waste production process.
Danny Adamson, Managing Director of Stocksigns, comments: “In comparison with conventional Foamex or Rigid PVC, Correx® offers the same level of durability but crucially it is a highly recyclable material meaning that we can eliminate waste and single use signage by creating a new product.
“By switching to Correx® for all of our temporary signage production, we have taken huge strides towards our own environmental targets and supporting construction sites to meet their own as well.”
