Success at KEiBA Awards for Newton Waterproofing

  • 11 Jul 2018

Newton Waterproofing is celebrating its success as one of just two companies to win two awards at the 10th annual Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA) at the Kent Showground in Detling last month.

The company took home both the Medium Business of the Year award and also the Commitment to the Environment Award. Newton was pleased to have its hard work recognised following the company’s plastic pledge and sustainable product range.

Newton submitted a comprehensively written entry and supporting material which was rigorously judged by a panel of independent business experts. Six entrants were then shortlisted based on the scores of their submissions.

Following this, judges visit shortlisted entrants at their premises to carry out a more in-depth investigation through face to face interviews, and then, 3 finalists are selected and judged by all the judges with the winner revealed on the night.

To be successful, entries are required to demonstrate outstanding performance, commercial success and strategy for growth whilst achieving excellence in innovation, sharing the details of schemes, initiatives, policies and projects that improve environmental performance, trends in business turnover and profit, the quantifiable beneficial impact of these schemes on the environment as well as the wider community and finally, vision for the future/objectives for business growth and environmental performance over the next 3 years.
