Axion Recycling

Axion Recycling Ltd was formed in 2001 by Directors Keith Freegard and Roger Morton to develop and operate innovative processing solutions for recycling waste materials. Axion Polymers and Axion Consulting are two companies that have grown out of this business.

Axion Consulting specialises in resource recovery. Our engineers and scientists take waste streams that are not currently recyclable or where limited value is recovered and find solutions for them. Axion's engineers can offer expertise and deep technical knowledge in developing new processing methods and recycling a range of material types including plastics, metals, textiles and aggregates. Axion Consulting's disciplines cover all aspects of waste recycling - from practical trials and process development for new recycling processes to setting up industry collection schemes for particular waste streams. We have designed, built and now manage our own recycling and plastics processing facilities at Salford and Trafford Park.

Axion Polymers operates an advanced waste processing facility to reprocess shredder residue from ELV (end-of-life vehicles) and plastics from WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Axion Polymers supplies a range of Axpoly® recycled PP and HIPS grades suitable for extrusion and injection moulding. Fully traceable to the original source materials, all grades are manufactured to strict ISO standards and are REACH/RoHs compliant. We can supply variations to standard grades by modifying the physical properties with a range of additives to suit particular requirements. We also supply AxPlas® general-purpose recycled plastics for less demanding applications.
