Sustainable systems for timber framed construction exhibiting at Timber Expo

  • 9 Sep 2014

FireCurb is designed for application on roofs and walls to offer high levels of flame retardency up to Class B whilst providing long term protection, effective vapour diffusion, greater energy efficiency and improved design flexibility.

Offering a greater level of safety for occupants and firefighters, when flames meet FireCurb, they stop, die down and go out, limiting flame propagation through the external envelope whilst also reducing the damage and cost caused by fires.

FireCurb offers an environmentally sustainable solution, using no halogens but instead using a phosphorous containing agent which forms a layer at the surface to slowly release flammable materials.

Products manufactured to address issues such as airtightness will be exhibited under the DuPont Tyvek Timberframe Solutions category, allowing producers of lightweight ventilated timber constructions to easily install reliable protection in bad weather conditions.

Visitors to the show can find out more about DuPont AirGuard air and vapour control layers and their ability to enhance the moisture management and airtightness of timber frame buildings in order to meet strict regulations.

The Timberframe Solutions range provides building professionals with condensation control and energy efficient systems that make a significant contribution to the thermal performance of a building, helping to adhere to the regulations set out by the EU directive and local building codes.
