The organisers of GEO Business, the UK’s largest annual gathering of geospatial professionals, have announced the opening of speaker applications for the 2024 show.
The unmissable exhibition, which is free to attend, will take place at ExCeL London on 5 – 6 June 2024, bringing together the geospatial community from around the world under one roof.
Each year, over 3,950 attendees from various corners of the geospatial sector come together to exchange ideas, explore cutting-edge technologies, uncover innovative methodologies, and expand their professional networks.
GEO Business offers speakers the ideal platform to elevate their profiles, share their expertise, and engage with an eager audience committed to shaping the future of the geospatial profession.
The event hosts a vast speaker program, collating over 120 sessions spanning two days. These sessions feature some of the most brilliant minds in the geospatial field, who generously share their knowledge and insights, inspiring others and showcasing the transformative potential of geospatial technology.
And now, you have the chance to join them.
Selected speakers will receive promotion within the GEO Business programme, both online leading up to the event and in print during, offering them exposure to thousands of geospatial professionals.
Passionate about fostering diverse perspectives within the industry, the team behind the show warmly invite new voices from the geospatial field to apply as speakers.
GEO Business is eager to create new role models and inspire others to join the profession, welcoming traditionally under-represented groups to contribute their fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
Additionally, a mentor program is being introduced to pair experienced speakers with newcomers, providing guidance and support, with the goal of encouraging continued participation in future events.
Whether you’re at the forefront of geospatial innovation with knowledge to share or are just embarking on your geospatial journey and can offer guidance to those in a similar position, there’s a place for you in the programme.
The talks span a wide range of critical geospatial topics, encompassing LiDAR, laser scanning, reality capture, SLAM/mobile mapping, AEC workflows, digital twins, point clouds, AI and machine learning, automation, UAV/UAS, and much more.
If you have a distinctive application of geospatial technology, insights into evolving digital workflows, or cutting-edge methods of geospatial data management, the GEO Business team eagerly awaits your application.
They are particularly interested in learning more about the results you’ve achieved and how geospatial technology is contributing to solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
Ollie Hughes, Event Director, comments: “Speaking at the show is open to anyone and everyone within the geospatial community. It not only provides a fantastic opportunity to share your expertise but also contributes to advancing the profession.
“We welcome case studies, research projects, debates, workshops, live demonstrations, how-to guides, best practice examples, new technologies, and concepts. Multiple submissions are accepted, so feel free to be creative in your proposals.
“If you’ve spoken at our event before, we warmly welcome you back, and we encourage you to motivate your colleagues and peers to participate as well.
“Similarly, we aim to provide a platform for fresh voices in the industry, so if you’re new to presenting, we’re even more eager to hear from you!”
