Tata Steel UK, and Building Systems UK, the construction product manufacturer of Tata Steel UK, has renewed its membership of the MCRMA – the industry association which represents metal cladding and roofing manufacturers.
The company took the decision to rejoin the MCRMA to help support change within the construction industry, where there is a need to raise the standards at all stages of the design, construction, installation and maintenance of metal building envelopes.
Tata Steel UK joins an expanding MCRMA membership. This already includes other major systems manufacturers, component suppliers and installers, as well as numerous other industry professionals involved in the successful delivery, maintenance and repair of roofing and cladding projects, elevating the UK’s building envelope experience within the whole construction market.
The company’s operations are closely aligned with the technical aims and objectives of the MCRMA, which is reflected in its products and services that are designed to meet high-performance standards for thermal efficiency, structural integrity, fire resistance, and environmental sustainability.
Building Systems UK is renowned for its building envelope products portfolio. Its widely used systems, including its Trisomet® and Trimapanel® insulated composite panels and Trisobuild® site assembled systems, are engineered to support the construction industry’s focus on energy-efficient and sustainable structures.
In addition, the company offers its Platinum® Plus multi decade system guarantees covering the durability, structural and thermal performance of all system components. These systems utilise Tata Steel’s Colorcoat® pre-finished steel products, delivering world class durability across a range of building applications, and backed by 60 years of development and evolution to create the exceptional products offered, as well as the renowned Confidex® Guarantee for Colorcoat® since 1992.
Jo Evans, MD at Building Systems UK, says: “Re-joining the MCRMA will be important for increasing our engagement with key stakeholders in the supply chain and enable us to play an active role within a well-respected industry association. We are keen to support the MCRMA’s objectives of fostering knowledge sharing and technical improvements across the sector.
“There are many synergies between our business and the MCRMA. Our focus on innovation, including the development of advanced building systems that integrate modern design with technical reliability, reflects the association’s commitment to improving best practices within the construction industry.”
Carlton Jones, Director of the MCRMA, adds: “We are delighted to have Tata Steel and Building Systems UK once again as members of our association. As one of the industry’s major product and systems manufacturers, the whole team has a wealth of knowledge and experience that will be extremely beneficial to the association – including the development of best practice and technical guidance documents.”
