The benefits of DualProof membrane

  • 11 Apr 2017

DualProof, a new two-layer durable watertight solution for below ground structures from Delta Membrane Systems, offers protection against groundwater ingress as well as gases and chemicals.

The membrane is fully and permanently bonded and pre-applied and fitted prior to the fixing of steel reinforcement, and the concrete pour. It is a sealed two-layer flexible pvc membrane laminated with a non-woven polypropylene fleece.

The fleece uses FiberTex technology, giving the necessary bond to the concrete, as it integrates into the concrete when poured providing a strong mechanical bond once cured. It prevents lateral water migration between the membrane and the structural concrete, and it seals small cracks in the concrete.

Installation is straightforward as the membrane is simply overlapped and sealed with butyl tape and special adhesive for detailing, and can be applied in horizontal and vertical planes.

The membrane offers high compound shear strength and can be installed at any time of year, regardless of weather conditions and temperature.

DualProof is 1.7mm thick and comes in a 1.2m wide by 25m long rolls.
