The Flood Expo to feature Delta Membranes

  • 30 Jul 2018

Over 5,000 professionals will visit Birmingham’s NEC in September for The Flood Expo, where Delta Membranes will be exhibiting.

Running on the 12th and 13th, The Flood Expo is the biggest flood exhibition and conference in the world.

Innovative products and infrastructure helping to deal with an ever-increasing global threat will be showcased.

Delta, who have been active members of the BRE Flood Resilient Home and Cumbria Flood Resilience Project, will be at stand 4C59.

Delta’s Flood Resilience expert, Michael Vernon, will be holding a presentation called ‘Case Studies in Flood Resistance and Recoverability’.

This presentation is based on live case studies at Edenside Barn and the BRE Flood House and will look at drainage membrane technologies traditionally used in below ground structural waterproofing and how they arebeing adapted and re-delivered to provide effective flood solutions.

Also covered will be leak stopping innovations, along with barrier systems and pump solutions.

Michael uses the principle of “joined up thinking” to guarantee all materials and products that provide the ingredients for a Delta flood solution are properly integrated to achieve desired results.

The show concentrates on solving any problems posed by flooding and highlighting the new and cost-effective methods of preventing and managing flooding; 200 exhibitors will be present, displaying the most progressive solutions to flooding around, along with some of the brightest minds, engineers and authorities working within the field.

Visitors will also be able to evaluate the performance of these products, with numerous live demos happening across two action-packed days.

The Flood Expo also houses a stellar lineup of 100 expert-led seminars, from some of the biggest and most influential firms in the global flood industry.

For those seeking to make new contacts in the sector, the show provides a great opportunity to interact with, and learn from, the world’s top flood professionals and organisations inside the Environment Agency Networking Area.

As the principal flood risk management operating authority, the Environment Agency’s responsibility to managing flood risk and increasing public awareness of flood risk and flood forecasting makes this a fascinating educational platform for visitors to learn about their data, models and information.

The free Flood Expo ticket also provides access to four other industry-leading events; Contamination Expo Series, Marine & Coastal Civil Engineering Expo, RWM and the Future Resource Expo.

These shows will collectively create the most comprehensive environmental package in the world, with 20,000 progressive professionals set to attend.

Visit the Flood Expo website to get free tickets, or contact Event Director James Berryman on 01872 218007 or [email protected] to enquire about exhibiting and sponsorship opportunities.
