The second day will commence with a seminar entitled ‘Opportunities in the Custom and Self-Build Market’. Philip Singleton, Managing Director of Graven Hill Village Development Company, will take the opportunity to showcase Graven Hill Village, the UK’s largest self-build scheme to date.

The Build ShowLater in the day, a number of industry experts will meet to discuss the changing role of architects in housing design.

‘Future-Proof Housing Design and Materials’ aims to ask pressing questions about the long-term creation of liveable homes and communities: Does good housing design really have to cost more?  What will the house of the future look like?

This topic will be explored further into the final day of the Build Show. ‘Construction Methods to Safeguard the Future of the UK Housing Market’ will explore the goals and aspirations of the house building market, and how housing requirements are affected by differing construction methods.

Wienerberger will lead discussions on structured data in the build process, explaining how the house builder can benefit from it. This will be supplemented by talks from BIM4 Housing’s Patrick Wilson and coBuilder UK’s Nick Tune
