The lowdown on the rapid expansion at Aluprof

  • 8 Jul 2020

AluprofAluprof UK is arguably the fastest growing systems company operating in the UK; with rapid growth comes change and, in order to service the needs of the specifier, the company has ambitious plans for the future, as Wojciech Brożyna, Managing Director, explains…

“Aluprof UK is a division of Aluprof SA from Poland, in fact, the largest commercial systems company in Poland, where almost seventy percent of projects in the country use Aluprof profiles.

Aluprof SA are a group company of Grupa Kety who have aluminium extrusion and component manufacturing capability.  It is this vertical integration which allows Aluprof UK to offer high performance systems with unrivalled service at competitive rates.

Group investment is at an all time record with £46 million committed in 2018 alone.  Being a QUALICOAT licensed applicator, some of this investment has been used in a new vertical powder coating line which runs alongside our current lines.

The new line will provide extra capacity to meet the demand for quick turn around of all our project deliveries.

Aluprof

Investment has also seen the construction of a dedicated, state of the art, research and development centre in Bielsko-Biała, the first of its type for a systems company in Poland.

Due to open soon, the development will allow us to test product to the latest European and UK Standards and will for the first time include an extensive fire testing facility.

In the UK Aluprof already have a centrally located head office and warehouse facility in Greater Manchester and an Architectural Project Office in London.

Aluprof

This year will see expansion in the Manchester facility to offer additional  offices, warehouse space, a new showroom and a conference facility for specifiers.

Part of the strategy and success of Aluprof is the ability to offer rapid delivery of not only profiles, but fabricated products.  The warehouse in Manchester carries a minimum back up stock, but with customer deliveries, made twice a week direct from Poland, lead times can be down to a few days for off-the-shelf products.

Aluprof

Adopting this logistical approach reduces both transport time and cost.  With Brexit contingency plans in place, we expect to keep up regular UK deliveries with the minimum of disruption.

With the addition of a bespoke fabrication service, our customers can supplement their own production facility to enable them to meet site programs for installation.

Finally, the provision of systems and products would only be possible with a dedicated front line team and we believe we have the best team leading Aluprof UK.

Aluprof

Together with a specifier support team who will help specifiers choose the right products and specification, the team also follows through each project to completion with support from a dedicated technical team in Manchester and London.

Product fabrication and installation courses are regularly held in Aluprof’s training academy in Poland and also on site in the UK, where required.”
