Roof Maker, the manufacturer of world-class rooflights, has given hard to reach spaces a lease of life following the launch of a new electric-powered rooflight.
Thanks to its innovative 90 degree opening, powered by a hands-free fully electric mechanism, the Open-Lite® Electric Access Rooflight enables homeowners to easily step onto their roof space, creating an opportunity to develop roof gardens and outside seating areas in what were once hard to access roof spaces.
With homeowners often struggling to access these areas, architects can now give them the chance of increasing their floor space using a simple to operate, easy to step through rooflight, creating endless home improvement opportunities.
Thanks to its fully opening mechanism, room ventilation will be improved, and with its triple glazing, maximum heat efficiency is delivered, supported by a thermally broken aluminium frame which helps retain heat and reduce the risk of condensation.
The Electric Access Rooflight boasts close to a 90° opening onto the roof space above and can be installed in flat roofs of between 0 and 10 degrees, extending the options of where it can be fitted.
– Built-in 5-degree pitch to promote water run-off, avoiding fitters having to factor creating a pitch into the build
– Thermally broken aluminium frame
– Triple glazed units for outstanding thermal performance
– Roof Maker’s 20-year unit seal warranty
– Heavy duty 24V DC robust actuators hold rooflight securely open against wind pressure
– Fully welded aluminium lid and corners for unparalleled weather resistance and waterproofing
– Choice of glass specifications and tints to suit your customer’s requirements
Commenting on the new rooflight, Roof Maker Managing Director Kishan Bhogaita, says: “This is a real changer for architects who are looking to add light and access into roof spaces.
“We have a unit that can be easily installed yet looks aesthetically pleasing adding access to what can be a new room for the home. The new product opens at the touch of a button, at the same time adding natural light to dull and tired areas in the home.
“All products come with our 20-year unit seal warranty and UK-wide delivery helping deliver a cost-effective solution.”
