Birkdale will be exhibiting at this year’s UK Construction Week at the NEC, Birmingham, from 8 – 10 October, on stand M140, where it will be showcasing DuraPost® by FENCEMATE.
This is the industry’s first galvanised steel fence post system, that provides a durable, lightweight and wind-resistant alternative to wooden or concrete fence posts.
Visitors to the Birkdale stand can compete to build the fastest fence installation using DuraPost® with a number of daily prizes available.
There is also the chance to have a go at building a DuraPost® fence on Birkdale’s new FENCEBUILDER app and finally, installers can request a free DuraPost® sample pack to try at a later date.
Due to its makeup of cold-rolled galvanised steel, DuraPost® by FENCEMATE is capable of withstanding wind speeds of up to 70 miles per hour and is guaranteed for up to 25 years.
Furthermore, DuraPost® is ergonomically designed to be up to 80% lighter than concrete, making it easy to transport, store, carry and install by a single tradesperson, reducing build time and labour requirements significantly.
Aesthetically, DuraPost®’s design provides a sleek and versatile solution that can complement any outdoor setting and will, crucially, not degrade over time.
It is available in a choice of profiles, Classic and Slimline for a minimalist aesthetic, as well as four colour options: Anthracite Grey, Olive Grey, Sepia Brown and Galvanised Steel.
Colour matched accessories are also available including Post Caps, Gravel boards and Capping Rails. Finally, DuraPost® is compatible with a wide range of fence panels and virtually any onsite fencing.
Mark Naylor, Product Development Manager at Birkdale, commented: “We are looking forward to demonstrating DuraPost® to visitors at UK Construction Week as we believe that the system is capable of completely revolutionising build time for garden and landscaping projects.
“We will also be encouraging visitors to come and try their hand at building a DuraPost® fence on our FENCEBUILDER app which have recently released and are excited to promote to installers.”
