Four regional seminars are taking place in London, Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester, with the half-day sessions focusing on issues within the timber frame trade and specifically targeting housing associations, contractors and house builders.
The benefits of constructing using timber frame, the materials history, as well as sources of timber products used for building, will be explored during the seminars, which will be delivered by BM TRADA’s frameCHECK team.
Delegates will be advised on construction techniques including solid wood, cross laminated timber; acceptance by insurers and warranty providers; the range of timber frame building that can be constructed; and maintenance issues and costs for achieving a quality build.
