Timber windows specified to increase energy efficiency

  • 27 Jul 2015

The e4 Brick House model focuses on the four pillars of Wienerberger’s e4 concept – energy, economy, environment and emotion.

NorDan’s triple glazed timber windows have been featured in Wienerberger’s new e4 Brick House

A ‘Fabric First’ approach was applied using a clay building envelope, to deliver a house with reduced energy needs.

Efficient and secure

NorDan’s Bordorren door was specified for the front entrance, with a U value of 1.4.

The composite door has high security properties, including rust free steel plates and high thermal efficiency.

A sliding patio door was installed leading into the garden with a U value of 0.81 w/m2k.

NorDan’s sliding patio door is recognised for its security features; it offers a Secured by Design badge. The windows and doors are manufactured at NorDan’s Swedish door factory and supplied factory painted.
