  • 13 May 2015

The RIAI Forum – part of the London Festival of Architecture – will offer visitors a chance to see the best of Irish design in architecture, construction and craft.

The Vision London exhibition will take place at Olympia on 2-3 June.

The exhibition will be launched at the RIAI stand on Tuesday 2 June at 5pm, showcasing what the London Forum believes to be the best examples of built and unbuilt projects that RIAI members are working on throughout the UK.

The RIAI Forum will include a “7Hands” crafts section, which will display etchings, plates and 14 separate pieces of artwork including glass bowls, a metal chess set and two 5-metre high metal statues.

Shortlisted entries for the 2015 European Copper in Architecture Awards 17 will also be revealed at Vision London.

The biennial celebration of contemporary architecture showcases architects working with copper or copper alloys in roofing, cladding and other architectural elements.

This year’s entries include Foster Partners for Munich’s Lenbachhaus Museum, Staab Architekten for its work on the new Kunstmuseum in Germany and Julien Denis of John McCall Architects for the Hwb Dinbych, multi-purpose community facility in Denbigh, Wales.
