The MCRMA’s membership has grown further, with the approval, as members, of two businesses providing very different types of products and services to the metal building envelope sector.
The association, which represents and supports the complete supply chain for metal roofing and facades, has welcomed the UK division of international coatings manufacturer Mipa and building envelope consultancy AJS Consulting to its membership for the first time. Both companies have joined the MCRMA to support their development in the building envelope market and build new connections with market leaders in their respective fields.
Mipa Paints Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mipa SE Group which supplies approved distributors and direct supply channels across the UK and Ireland. As one of the largest manufacturers of professional paints and coatings within Europe, backed by over 75 years’ experience in providing innovative products supported by technical expertise, the company is at the forefront of its industry.
Mipa’s solutions for the building envelope market range from synthetic resin primers to solvent-free coating systems for metal. These meet corrosivity categories C2 – C5 according to BS EN ISO 12944.
AJS Consulting offers a diverse range of advisory services for the roofing and cladding industry, including work in progress site inspections, conditional surveys, cost planning, pre-construction planning, estimating and specification guidance. The company works with clients across the UK and Europe providing fully independent, informed advice to help create and maintain high performing, sustainable building envelopes.
Derrick Rudd, Chief Executive at Mipa Paints, comments: “We are delighted to be accepted as a member of the MCRMA, it is our intention to contribute to the group as well as better understand the industries challenges from product, environmental issues, application and of course the all-important subject of colour.
“We can match colours as well as offer a comprehensive range of colours for the industries established cladding suppliers.”
The addition of Mipa Paints and AJS Consulting to the MCRMA membership brings the association’s total number of member companies to 45.
The membership spans organisations involved in all areas of the metal building envelope supply chain, from some of the world’s largest roofing and cladding system manufacturers and leading component suppliers, to forward-thinking installers, independent roofing inspectors and design specialists.
The membership is a highly active group of like-minded businesses who contribute to the development of highly respected technical guidance documents, CPDs, training courses and other resources.
Their collective effort is extremely valuable, supporting everyone involved in the metal roofing and cladding industry to meet ever more demanding quality, performance and sustainability goals, and stay compliant with all industry standards.
