UK Security Expo 2016 celebrates successful year

UK Security Expo has announced a visitor total of 7,132 at the London Olympia from the 30th November – 1st December.

The two-day event saw a 49 percent increase in visitors year-on-year, including high profile senior ministers including Ben Wallace MP, Secretary of State, Dr Liam Fox MP and Transport Minister for Aviation, Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon.

This year’s event delivered over 300 scheduled face-to-face meetings; 39 Officially Hosted Country Delegations n cooperation with Department for International Trade DSO; six conference programmes, workshops and live demos.

UK Security Expo also featured a Prime Contractors Capability Lounge, the Prime Engagement Programme, the MoD Defence Innovation Initiative and a Perimeter Security Solutions Lounge.

Another popular feature was the Immersive Crowded Places Demonstration in association with the Home Office JSaRC and the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) which used the venue itself as the place to be protected.

Reaction to the event was positive, with 90 percent of exhibitors having already rebooked for next year.

Next years event is already in the planning stages and will take place in London Olympia’s Grand Hall, which features a far larger entrance and many more lanes of security, making for a smoother and more efficient entry process.
