UNION launch new youth football team kit competition

To celebrate the beginning of Euro 2016, UNION has launched a social media competition to find a youth football team that ‘supports and is valued by its local community’. The winners will receive a full kit for the 2016/17 season sponsored by UNION.

Launched on the UNION Facebook page, the competition asks entrance to submit up to 100 words to [email protected] explaining what the team means to the local community, if they have a history worth sharing, or simply if they have a special story to share around the team. 

Eryl Jones, Managing Director of ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, said: “Whilst we’ll all be flying the flag for our home nations in the Euros, it’s important to remember grass roots football and support participation at every level of the sport. We want to reward teams that offer something to their local community and encourage more youth teams to get involved in sport, which can offer so many benefits outside of health and fitness. 

We’re encouraging all our customers and partners to get involved, whether that’s promoting it to their customers or nominating a team themselves.”

The competition will run throughout the 2016 European Championships, finishing on 5th July at 12pm.
