University refurbishment projects to be undertaken by Novus

  • 22 Jul 2016

Novus Property Solutions has been awarded two contracts and frameworks to deliver upgrades at several British universities.

Boasting a respectable reputation within the university refurbishment sector, Novus has won contracts with Leeds Beckett University and student accommodation provider, Unite Group. It has also secured two frameworks with Birmingham City University and the University of Worcester.

University refurbishments

Novus will work on the University of Worcester Construction Framework over a five-year period. A panel of its contractors will deliver new build and refurbishment projects to workshops, laboratories and teaching facilities, as well as leisure amenities at the university. A similar agreement has been struck with Birmingham City.

Simultaneously, the firm will work to complete a contract at Leeds Beckett, which includes external painting works and repairs to the campus office blocks.

Novus is also involved in the Unite Group’s summer refurbishment program: redecoration and flooring works are to be carried out at its student accommodation blocks in Bristol, Portsmouth and Bournemouth.

Well-practiced in overcoming the challenges posed by city-based campuses, Novus’ team also boasts experience in working on rural university grounds. Through delivering upgrades and completing essential refurbishment works, it hopes to reduce running costs and improve environmental credentials at the university buildings.
