University sports centre benefits from Senior fenestration

  • 3 Aug 2017

Senior Architectural Systems has supplied a range of thermally-efficient fenestration solutions for a new sports centre at York St. John University.

Built as part of the university’s School of Sport, the new establishment features an internal sports court and a range of gym facilities with changing rooms. It also offers creative learning spaces for the benefit of its students.

Senior SF52 aluminium curtain wallingThe project’s architect, Watson Batty, and main contractor, Triton Construction, specified Senior’s SF52 aluminium curtain walling system as an energy efficient fenestration solution for the building.

Designed with slim sightlines, the system helps to enhance the sense of light and space inside the building.

Senior’s thermally broken SPW600e aluminium windows and SPW501 aluminium doors were also installed to ensure a reduced reliance on mechanical heating and cooling systems.
