Architects, developers and building contractors can get the latest insights into sound insulation for residential buildings, and advice on how to go beyond the minimum compliance standards, by attending the Hush Acoustics online CPD presentation on 21 January at 10:30am.
This free event will take place via Microsoft Teams – it will cover a wide range of building acoustics topics, including the basics of sound transmission in buildings, the building regulations covering acoustic insulation and issues to consider with Robust Details projects.
Attendees will also see examples of how acoustic performance can be upgraded beyond the minimum standards for enhanced homebuyer and tenant satisfaction.
The CPD webinar will be presented by Robert Crampton, MD of Hush Acoustics, who has a wealth of experience working with clients in the residential, education, commercial and industrial building sectors.
Robert said: “Whatever type of residential project you are working on, whether that is new build, conversion as defined by material change of use or refurbishment, our CPD presentation will offer useful insights and enable you to achieve a better outcome.
“Acoustic insulation standards under Approved Document E in England and Wales in particular haven’t advanced in a meaningful way since 2003 so where possible it is important to take steps to develop your own acoustic specification and match the performance standards home buyers and tenants will expect in areas such as thermal, accessibility and home security.”
To register for the free residential acoustics CPD webinar, on 21 January at 10:30am, email [email protected], tweet @hushacoustics or call 0151 268 0484.
