UZIN system helps to create a stunning new wedding venue

  • 20 Aug 2019

UZIN recently provided a system for Sissons Barn, a prestigious new wedding venue near Peterborough, to minimise risk and create flat, smooth flooring.

Sissons Barn is a purpose-built oak framed wedding venue designed to look like an old forge barn.

A new floor was required across all areas of the barn which contains a stunning open plan room for seating and dance floor as well as a bar, comfy lounge and back of house areas. The entire front section of the large barn was made of oak and glass, so the floor needed a ripple-free finish.

The flooring contractor, Superior Finish Contracts Ltd turned to UZIN because minimising risk was essential on such a prestigious project which needed an excellent finish to match the striking surroundings.

The UZIN system enabled a flat, smooth surface to be created which would cope with the future heavy footfall. UZIN PE 360 PLUS primer was applied over the screed followed by UZIN NC 163 a very low-stress smoothing compound which produces an outstanding flat and smooth surface. UZIN U 2100 and UZIN KE 2000 S pressure-sensitive adhesive was then used to install the floors.

Overall, the flooring helped to create a stunning wedding venue with durable and smooth, flat flooring.
