After a number of fundraising initiatives in May, Uzin Utz UK has proudly donated £6000 to the University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) Charity.
The money raised will fund Superhero Care Boxes, life-saving equipment and extra facilities to help UHCW deal with the increased demand on services, rise in patient numbers and well-being of NHS staff.
Matthew Brown, MD of Uzin Utz UK, said “During this unprecedented time Uzin Utz UK wanted to show our support to our NHS heroes by organising a number of fundraising activities.
“Our staff and customers have shown great commitment in helping raise money and we have doubled our target of £3000.
“We hope this small contribution goes some way in reflecting how much the staff at UHCW are appreciated for their help and dedication to the care and welfare of their patients.”
Uzin Utz UK donated a proportion of May sales to the fundraising and organised a number of initiates in May. This included the Pallmann ‘Parkettprofi Virtual Run’, where a £1 donation was raised for every kilometre run by those participating.
Both Uzin Utz UK employees and customers participated in the run, which helped generate £2080 towards the total. Thanks to the donation, the UHCW can provide a level of patient care beyond what NHS funding alone can deliver and make life-changing projects happen sooner.
Jo O’Sullivan, Head of UHCW Charity, said: “We are so grateful to Uzin Utz for supporting UHCW Charity with their amazing donation of £6,000.
“This is a challenging time for our patients, their families and our staff so this support is more vital than ever. It is thanks to the generosity of businesses like Uzin Utz that we are able to continue to improve care and facilities as we recover from COVID-19.”
