Brick manufacturer, Vandersanden, is growing its dedicated UK team with the appointment of Sarah Jefferson as the brand’s new UK Technical Advisor.
In the newly created role, Jefferson will provide specialist support and deliver technical information to architects and specifiers, working with brick and clay building products.
Darren White, UK Sales Director at Vandersanden, commented: “Sarah’s background as an architect herself in private practice means she has unique insights and understanding of the specific needs of our customers.
“We will be utilising her skills as an accomplished writer of technical documents and CPD material, along with her extensive experience communicating with architects, specifiers, contractors, local authorities, trade organisations and building product suppliers to help drive awareness of Vandersanden’s range and our reputation for innovation, craftsmanship and sustainability.
“Sarah will be valuable asset to our growing UK team and we are delighted to welcome her on board.”
Sarah will work closely with the Vandersanden team in identifying opportunities for specification and development of project specific design solutions.
She will also be responsible for advising on specification and aesthetics of products, best practice design and construction detailing. Her role will also cover product development and the commissioning and management of third-party testing regimes.
Sarah joins Vandersanden from Ibstock Brick, where she was Design Advisor for London and the South East, providing design advisory services and overseeing delivery of technical and design advice on specification, design and construction using Ibstock products.
Sarah said: “My role will be focussed on building longstanding, collaborative relationships with architects to fully understand and meet their expectations.
“Our innovative solutions, the technical performance of our bricks and the exciting colour palette we’ve created allow architects to realise their vision. I’m looking forward to supporting them in finding the ideal solution for their project.”
