Market-leading ventilation expert Vent-Axia is celebrating winning the ‘Domestic Ventilation Product of the Year’ award at the prestigious H&V News Awards for the second year running.
This year, the company scooped the award for its ‘Lo-Carbon Multivent MEV Family’ a new range of mechanical extract ventilation (MEV) and decentralised MEV (dMEV) designed to provide a simple and effective solution to help housebuilders meet the Future Homes Standard.
Demonstrating the company’s design leadership in tackling the problems of indoor air pollution in the home, the Sussex-based company also won the category last year for its pioneering Lo-Carbon PoziDry Compact Pro, which offers an ideal solution for combating condensation and mould in problem properties without a loft.
The H&V News Awards have been celebrating the achievements of the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry for over 27 years, rewarding the most forward-thinking and innovative businesses in the sector.
Winners were announced at a glittering ceremony on Thursday, 11th November 2021 at the Hilton Park Lane, London. Vent-Axia beat stiff competition to win the ‘Domestic Ventilation Product of the Year’ category with the standard of entries exceptionally high.

After a rigorous judging process, the company’s Lo-Carbon Multivent MEV Family was selected as the winner for its range of products that integrate to form a whole-home solution, designed to meet the Future Homes Standard.
The judges were impressed with the simplicity of the installation process, combined with a full suite of controls enabling homeowners to understand their indoor environment with indoor air quality.
Joe Tse, Product Manager at Vent-Axia, comments: “We are absolutely delighted that our Lo-Carbon Multivent MEV Family has won the ‘Domestic Ventilation Product of the Year’ award at the prestigious H&V News Awards.
“The Vent-Axia Multivent MEV family is a great addition to the market offering a wide range of benefits that will not only help housebuilders meet the Future Homes Standard with their highly efficient performance, but also provide great selling points for house buyers too, with improved indoor air quality and controllability.
“We also feel very honoured to win the Domestic Ventilation Product of the Year category two years running, following our Lo-Carbon PoziDry Compact Pro winning the accolade last year. We are committed to improving public health through ventilation and improving indoor air quality so it is great to know that our peers recognise that our design innovation is helping to achieve this.”
With the Future Homes Standard requiring new build homes to have world-leading levels of energy efficiency, including a further lowering of Dwelling Emission Rates (DER) as part of the drive towards carbon neutrality, the Multivent MEV family is the ideal solution.
Designed for new build residential projects, the Multivent MEV range helps housebuilders meet DER requirements through its market-leading energy efficiency while improving indoor air quality (IAQ) for homeowners.
A reliable, highly efficient, quiet and easy to operate ventilation system is key to unlocking a healthier, greener future. The Vent-Axia Multivent MEV family offers just that with this highly efficient range offering a choice of eight MEV and eight dMEV models to ensure housebuilders have exactly the right ventilation for a property.
Both the MEV and dMEV ranges allow installers to select flow rates to meet project requirements and the units offer an easy-to-operate control platform and extremely low operating noise. Additional benefits include increased ventilation rates, compact design, easy installation, as well as simple and accurate commissioning.
With a common digital control platform throughout the range and smart accessories for use in the home, the MEV and dMEV range is a breeze to install, commission and control.
Plus, the wealth of control and switching options across the range gives housebuilders the flexibility to provide a solution for any new build scenario. Vent-Axia is delighted to have won this prestigious industry award.
