Following its recent relaunch, Polyflor’s Polysafe Wood fx PUR vinyl safety flooring has been fitted at the Paper Moon Day Nursery in Woodbeck, Nottinghamshire.
The nursery selected Polysafe Wood fx following its search for a hard wearing, slip resistant floorcovering.
Available in twelve different wood effect designs, Polyflor’s recently relaunched safety floorcovering offers in-built sustainable wet slip resistance, which reduces the risk of slipping in commercial or residential areas.
The vinyl includes aggregates through the performance layer, which work to provide traction to ensure underfoot safety.
Offering HSE Compliance, the product is classified as low slip potential, having achieved 36 + on the Pendulum Wet Test and a surface roughness of 20 microns +. It fully conforms to the European Safety Flooring Standard EN 13845.
Polysafe Wood fx PUR is also a Eurofins certified product; it has achieved an Indoor Air Comfort GOLD rating for low VOC emission levels.
Manufactured in the UK, Polyflor’s Wood fx flooring contains recycled material; it is 100% via the Recofloor vinyl take back scheme.
The sustainability credentials of Polyflor’s flooring are supported with the award of BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing Standard and certificated BRE Global A+ ratings for many ranges.
With a cross-linked and UV cured PUR polyurethane reinforcement, Polysafe Wood fx is easy to clean and significantly cheaper to maintain than alternative products on the market.
Vinyl flooring is also particularly suitable for child friendly spaces, as it does not contribute to asthma or common dust allergies; for these reasons, Paper Moon Day Nursery specified it for installation.
The nursery selected the grey toned Silver Oak design from the updated collection of sheet vinyl flooring, which was installed by Clinton Carpets flooring contractors of Retford in its playroom areas.
The flooring has also been fitted in a number of other Paper Moon nurseries across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
