Wash and dry toilets in Cadbury World

Wash and dry toilets attract visitors to UK venues

  • 23 Sep 2015

By installing one of Clos-o-Mat’s wash and dry toilets in the place of, or in addition to, a standard WC, businesses can appeal to a wider audience of disabled and incontinent people.

Although lavatorial matters are rarely discussed, and often laughed at, in Great Britain, almost 6 million people have problems with continence which must be taken seriously.

Those who suffer incidents when they are away from home can benefit from wash and dry toilets; by replacing standard WCs with these facilities, cafés, restaurants and motorway service stations can attract customers who would not otherwise visit.

These toilets are also helpful to disabled people, practicing Muslims and Britain’s Oriental or Islamic visitors.

Clos-o-Mat’s Palma Vita is an example of a wash and dry toilet; matching the size of a conventional WC, the Palma Vita has built-in douching and drying.

The user can remain seated when the flush pad is pressed to initiate simultaneous flushing and douching. This is followed by warm air drying.

The Lima Lift is a height adjustable version, which can be set to suit the requirements of each individual user.

Many venues – such as IKEA, Cadbury World and Trafford Centre – have taken Clos-o-Mat’s advice on board, and fitted one of its wash and dry toilets in the place of their previous WCs to accommodate a diversity of visitors.
