Washroom Washroom installs new bathrooms for M4 building

  • 12 May 2017

Washroom Washroom has installed new male and female washrooms as part of the refurbishment of an office in Slough.

The seven storey building at Heathrow Approach, which occupies a strategic position adjacent to the M4, was built 15 years ago and until 2015 was occupied exclusively by Honda.

The building has now been remodelled by construction services company, ISG. A new landscaped approach, redesigned brickwork fin element, atrium and entranceway were all part of the refurbishment. Heathrow Approach now provides Grade A office accommodation and meets modern accessibility standards.

Washroom Washroom installed new male and female washrooms on four levels of the building in both the East and West cores, as part of the multi-million pound project. A new staff shower and changing area was also created by Washroom in the basement.

Washroom’s full height, flush front Alto toilet cubicles were specified with a dark walnut straight grain real wood veneer finish. The cubicle’s rebated edge design provides an attractive virtually seamless facade, while it offers complete privacy for users with its floor-to-ceiling doors.

Washroom’s Concerto integrated duct panel system, which was installed behind the toilets and urinals, was finished in the same real wood veneer to create a smooth finish. The system is designed to be easy-to-clean and allow ease of access for future repairs or maintenance, making it a popular choice for office washrooms.

The crisp white Zodiac stone vanities are comprised of 93 per cent quartz and catch and reflect light.

The staff shower and changing area in the basement features the same white Zodiac stone vanities along with Washroom’s bespoke locker system, also finished in white.

Trevor Bowers, director at Washroom Washroom said: “By using high quality wood veneer for the toilet cubicles in the washrooms, we’ve helped create a sense of cohesion between different areas of the building, which is something that clients are increasingly keen to see.”
