Waterproofing membrane offers extreme temperature resistance

  • 17 Aug 2015

Delta-PT has been developed to damp-proof and waterproof buildings which sit over a damp or contaminated background.

Because of its versatility, Delta-PT is one of Delta Membranes’ most popular products

The polyethylene membrane is extruded into a number of 8mm high studs to create a continuous air gap behind the waterproof membrane.

A welded mesh, placed on the face of the membrane, allows renders and plasters to bond; this means that dry and durable finishes can be achieved over the top.

The membrane can be fitted below or above ground, on vaulted ceilings and both external and internal walls.

Despite being only 0.5mm thick, it can support long-term loadings without undue deformation. Two roll sizes – 2m by 20m and 1.5m by 10m – are available.

Watertight and temperature resistant

Approved for use in portable water applications, Delta-PT offers watertightness and resistance to temperature extremes – it can combat -30°C conditions and withstand 80°C heat.

It has been developed to chemically resist solvents, oil, acids and alkali’s, whilst acting as a barrier to prevent the transmission of salts and other contaminants.

Potential drainage rates are in the region of 5 litres per second, per metre.
