Silva Timber has recently supplied its Western Red Cedar decking to a German homemaker, who frequently holidays in Canada.
As a recurrent visitor to Canada, Bernadette Peter has been an admirer of the country’s Western Red Cedar decks, which are sourced from British Columbia, for many years.
When choosing decking for her own home in Germany, Bernadette decided on Western Red Cedar in warm tones.
As no German companies were able to supply the boards in the sizes she required, Bernadette turned to Silva Timber. She proceeded to order a number of Cedardeck boards from the UK-based company.
At 40mm thick, Cedardeck requires few screws and joists; it is also thicker than most decking available in the UK.
The deck has been designed to offer durability as well as aesthetic appeal. It is available in two sizes – 40mm x 90mm and 40mm x 140mm – making it suitable for a range of applications.
