Wetherby Building Systems: Cole Gardens, Hounslow

Cole Gardens, in Hounslow, was previously five, three blocks of flats. However, the clever erection of an upward extension to create an extra fourth floor ensures a sizable transformation.

The additional floor with hipped roof will provide 12 two-bedroom units. A fantastic solution in helping to ease the housing shortage, especially in cities.

The specification

Main Contractor, United Living managed the construction and application of the Wetherby system, comprising 60mm – 160mm Stone Wool Insulation and Real Clay Brick Slips.

The client set out to achieve a seamless look to the building, without changing the full façade. Brick slips in colour 764 Grey Multi Waterstruck were the best match to blend in with the existing façade.
