Wetherby introduces new range of accredited facade systems

  • 22 Feb 2024

Wetherby Building Systems Ltd, a leading provider of innovative building solutions, is proud to announce the launch of multiple new accredited External Wall Insulation (EWI) system approvals, specifically designed for the construction market in Ireland.

The Wetherby systems, are now fully compliant with Building Regulations in Ireland and the latest European Standards, offering flexible design choices, easy application, and superior durability, in the Irish construction sector.

Approved for use on multiple build types, for both the New Build and Refurbishment market, these certified systems are a welcome addition to our incredible accreditation portfolio.

Incorporating four different decorative finish options including a Silicone Render, Mineral Render, Clay Brick Slips and Acrylic Brick slips onto a non-combustible ROCKWOOL Stone Wool insulation. For the render options alone, they can offer over 500 colour options, so design choices will not be compromised.

Acrylic Brick Slip

Also new to the Wetherby finish range is an Acrylic Brick Slip. A lightweight, flexible, and durable product that replicates classic brickwork. The flexible nature of the Acrylic Brick Slips allows them to be applied directly to the adhesive, which also acts as a background to create flawless pointing mortar and adapts effortlessly to curved substrates.

Featuring a minimum life expectancy of 30 years and Category 1 impact resistance, these finishes have undergone rigorous testing and have been certified by Wetherby for use in their systems. This certification ensures the decorative finishes meet the highest quality standards and can withstand the harshest of environments. Architects and specifiers can now achieve the desired visual appeal without compromising on the longevity and strength of the construction.

Joe Ragdale, Technical Director at Wetherby Building Systems Ltd, says: “At Wetherby, we are dedicated to continuously investing our time and resources in developing new systems and providing innovative solutions for the diverse markets we operate in.

“We are particularly excited about our latest offering, which have been certified onto Stone Wool insulation. These systems offer a varied and cost-effective option for multiple sectors, including high-rise buildings and the modular market.

“Notably, we have certified the finished onto Stone Wool insulation for various substrates, including Masonry, Timber Frame, and Steel frame.

“This enables us to provide comprehensive solutions for a wide range of building types where we regularly install External Wall Insulation (EWI) systems.”
