MELCloud Wi-Fi controllable air conditioning

Wi-Fi controllable air conditioning specified for modern London home

  • 11 Sep 2015

A Wi-Fi controllable air conditioning system from Mitsubishi Electric has been installed in a contemporary home in North London; linked to an automated home system, M Series offers energy efficient comfort at a reduced cost.

Air conditioning and ventilation systems installer, Orbital Climate Solutions, worked with IntelliCasa to develop a climate control system for the prestigious property.

Orbital was tasked with fitting an air conditioning system that worked in conjunction with IntelliCasa’s home automation system.

Mitsubishi Electric’s M Series was eventually specified for installation. The system, which features a Wi-Fi controller dubbed MELCloud, could be effectively integrated into the control system.

Orbital fitted the M Series outdoor unit on the roof of the building; ducted indoor units were fitted behind grills to deliver air conditioning to the property.

It was important for the climate control system to complement the property’s interior, so the grills were plastered-in to ensure discretion.

With MELCloud, the homeowners are able to control the air conditioning via their smartphones. The feature will also allow the air conditioning within the home to work effectively with its existing high-tech equipment.

M Series has been designed to provide energy efficient comfort, whilst remaining cost-effective.
