Louise McMillan of APSE presents Billy Semple with their approved supplier certificate on a recent visit to the CMS Innovation Hub
Window, door and external envelope contractor CMS has secured approved supplier status with APSE (the Association for Public Service Excellence), opening the way for further expansion in the local authority sector nationally.
Linking up with APSE enables CMS, which already delivers social housing, education and healthcare refurbishment and new build projects for around a third of councils in Scotland, to offer all UK customers the quality, reliability and integrity of its services.
Sustainability credentials of CMS products and services include:
Louise McMillan, principal advisor for APSE in Scotland: APSE is committed to developing a list of companies who are committed to providing high quality cost effective services and supplies to the public sector. APSE wishes to promote excellence and raise ethical standards among all providers of services and suppliers, so we are pleased that CMS are now part of this growing but nonetheless select group of companies.
Billy Semple, CMS director: We are extremely proud of our strong track record in delivering results for local authorities who face the challenge of upgrading their social housing, schools and healthcare facilities in a way that fulfils ever stricter sustainability priorities. In building links with APSE, we will be in a great position to share our knowledge and experience with council officers and managers right across the UK so they can better understand the possibilities in refurbishment and new build.
CMS is one of Scotland’s leading manufacturers, suppliers and installers of windows, doors, curtain walling and external envelope systems.
CMS Window Systems also hosts Scotland’s first commercial innovation centre for energy efficient building design, products and services.
The CMS Innovation Hub is a showcase for the latest energy saving products and devices for the building of homes and workplaces, produced by leading construction and supply firms.
