Schueco UK has added several new parts to its AvanTec SimplySmart range of concealed window fittings to increase its flexibility.
Since the development of its AvanTec SimplySmart fittings, Schueco has obtained Exova certification for its AWS windows.
The range has been developed to simplify fabrication: the main components utilise secure clip-on technology, eliminating the need for drilling and separate screws.
The concealed window fittings can be used on all inward-opening windows, including tilt-turn, top lights and both bottom-hung and side-hung vents.
The range includes Schueco’s SmartActive window handle, which has been designed with an anti-microbial surface finish. Available in a number of finishes – including powder colour coated and stainless steel – it comprises micro-silver particles that work to exterminate germs on contact.
It is effective against multi-resistant bacteria, such as MRSA and MRSAE; being free of nano particles, the handle is completely safe to use.
A series of independent tests have confirmed a 99.9% reduction in germ contamination within 24 hours.
Schueco has also introduced its AvanTec anti-slam fitting, which employs different opening limiter stays to stop vents from slamming shut in unexpected air-flows.
The range also includes a concealed fitting, which allows a vent to open at 180 O, and comfort fittings, which have been developed for larger and heavier vents.
The comfort fittings provide mechanical assistance: by reducing operating forces, the vents are made easier to open and close.
