Working at height made safe with KeeGuard Ladder Kit

  • 8 Feb 2016

Kee Safety has announced the launch of its KeeGuard Ladder Kit. As a permanently fixed guardrail, the system has been designed to ensure the safety of those working at height.

Since the introduction of the 2005 Work at Height Regulations, the industry has noticed an increase in awareness of the dangers associated with working at height.

In light of this, KeeGuard Ladder Kit has been developed to provide a suitable safety solution. The system offers compliance with EN 14122-4, which states that a 1.5m guardrail should be provided at either side of a ladder at the drop edges of arrival areas.

The standard also recommends that a gate should be supplied to prevent falling through the access opening at arrival areas.

The system is a ‘retro-fit’ guardrail solution, which has been designed to fit to both sides of an existing fixed ladder or cat ladders.

By clamping onto the existing structure, the system provides a continual link from the guardrail to the stringer. It can lock around flat and tubular stringers of up to 75mm in width and diameter.

It does not need to be mechanically fixed to the roofing membrane, or the building’s structure.
