SE Controls achieves CCCF certification in China

  • 16 Mar 2020

SE Controls’ OS2 SHEVTEC Controller is the latest product from the company to be tested and certified by The China Certification Centre for Fire Products (CCCF).

The CCCF verifies the performance, quality and suitability of the controller for use in smoke control systems in China.

The OS2 SHEVTEC Controller joins three models of SECO chain actuators, the SELA linear actuator and OS2 PSU from SE Controls, which have already been certified by China National Supervision and Test Centre for Fire Electronic Product Quality under a rigorous testing programme that can take up to 12 weeks.

Product testing is carried out in strict accordance to the Chinese national GB Standards, with roughly 300 standards already in place, covering fire protection products, together with the regular publication of updates and new regulations.

Alex Luk, SE Controls Asia Pacific Director, commented: “Prior to August 2019, all smoke control products were subject to mandatory testing by CCCF, but after that date the testing process became a voluntary process.

“However, as SE Controls is committed to compliance globally, our approach is to ensure our products continue to be submitted for testing.

“This enables specifiers, contractors and installers to be confident that they are using certified and compliant products in their smoke control and life safety systems.”
