The company’s Healthcare Colour Book is 48 pages long and has been made up of visual features that are accompanied by written information and guidance.
The booklet includes information on the relationship between colour and dementia and how different shades of colour can affect emotions.
It also includes a library, which is comprised of 8 colour palettes in different areas of a hospital environment, such as waiting rooms, treatment rooms, reception areas and wards.
Additionally, the handbook features information on Crown Paints’ SCAN numerical code system which can be used to achieve tonal difference in colour schemes.
This can support people with visual impairment by helping them navigate their way around a room.
In addition to the new publication, Crown Paints’ Specification Services team provide ‘The Colour Service’.
This offers individual colour cards, a colour library for healthcare environments and the development of bespoke colour schemes for the company’s professional customers.
