Clos-o-Mat has produced an online, 3D video to help its customers envisage its assisted washrooms. The animation reveals how equipment fits in to assist those who cannot use the bathroom unaided.
The Changing Places accessible assisted washroom video has been developed for the benefit of architects, building services contractors, occupational therapists, access consultants and facilities or estate managers.
It shows how a Changing Places toilet differs from a standard, Document M type wheel-chair accessible toilet, whilst demonstrating how the equipment integrates to allow for use with limited help from a carer.
Clos-o-Mat’s accessible assisted washrooms were developed to help those who cannot access a conventional accessible toilet due to lack of space and equipment.
Under Building Regulations Approved Document M 2013, Changing Places toilets and hygiene rooms are ‘desirable’ in any public building; over 500 have been opened in venues across the UK.
