Contessa natural slates

Natural slates specified for country housing development

  • 7 Dec 2015

Cembrit has provided its Contessa natural slates for installation on 23 new properties in Dorset, which have been built by Linden Homes.

The Lorton Gardens development is based near Lorton Meadows Nature Reserve on the south coast of England.

It consists of three and four bedroom properties – both detached and semi-detached – with private parking spaces and an open wildlife area.

Natural slates for durable roofs

Weatherbury Roofing was contracted to install 25,000 of Cembrit’s blue/black Contessa natural slates on the new build properties.

The slates were selected for their natural finish and textured surface; these aesthetic features both complement the estate’s surroundings and help to create a traditional-looking home. Contessa’s textured surface also offers longevity.

Produced by efficient Spanish quarries, Contessa is a natural slate, which is available in the shades blue/black and grey. The slates are durable roofing products, which can withstand adverse weather conditions.

They are also resistant to acid rain, sunlight and ultraviolet lighting.
