SWISSPACER Air to launch at Fensterbau Frontale

  • 18 Feb 2016

SWISSPACER will launch its SWISSPACER Air at this year’s Fensterbau Frontale trade event in Nürnberg, taking place between the 16th – 19th March.

SWISSPACER AIR regulates air pressure in sealed units and prevents unit breakdown caused by changes in altitude. The device sits unobtrusively into the spacer bar and equalises air pressure differences between insulating glass units and their surrounding atmosphere.

It is ideal for sealed unit manufacturers in low lying areas, who design units that will be installed in variable climatic conditions or mountainous regions.

When windows are installed at high altitude, the performance of the glass unit can suffer as the expanding air inside the unit puts pressure on the panes of glass. This can damage the seal and allow moisture in.

SWISSPACER Air resolves this issue by regulating the air pressure between the panes of glass as it changes with altitude.

The device can be retrofitted to previously installed windows with SWISSPACER warm edge spacer bars to ensure long-term performance of the unit.

Head of Sales & Marketing UK & Ireland, John Cooper comments: “SWISSPACER Air is a unique innovation and the perfect solution for mountainous countries such as Austria, Switzerland, France or Italy. Further tests will confirm its suitability for the UK market too.”

SWISSPACER will also be showcasing the device at the FIT Show in April on Stand 324.
