Installers Opt In for FENSA window and doorset energy ratings

  • 30 Mar 2016

BFRC has received over 500 Opt In enquiries for free FENSA window and doorset energy ratings from FENSA certified installers, as of the end of February 2016.

80 percent of Opt In enquiries were from installers not previously registered with BFRC – whilst the others were from BFRC Authorised Retailers wanting to switch to the free FENSA branded scheme.

FENSA window and doorset energy ratings are free-of-charge for FENSA certified installers and are operated and independently verified by BFRC.

The scheme is the same as the existing BFRC programme in terms of ratings, ratings bands, licence scopes and windows and doors covered – but are branded FENSA and will have their own marketing support. Labels will cover products rated A+ to G.

BFRC director Toby Blamey commented: “Free FENSA window & doorset energy ratings, operated and independently verified by BFRC, look like they will be a game changer for window energy ratings in England and Wales. Opt In enquiries have far exceeded our expectations.”

Email BFRC to switch from an existing BFRC Authorised Retailer to a FENSA Authorised installer.

The Opt In process for FENSA certified installers is to email the Operations Team on [email protected] with their company name, registration number and name of their fabricator supplier.
